wellvyl is operated by Wellvyl PBC, together with its subsidiary public benefit companies (collectively, "wellvyl", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect across our family of sites and apps — wellvyl.com, app.wellvyl.com, tickets.wellvyl.com, partners.wellvyl.com, and related wellvyl subdomains (together, the "Services") — how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to every wellvyl division and entity, so one policy covers everything you do with us.

We are a public benefit company built around real-world connection and kindness. We collect what we need to run a membership community and events platform, and we do not sell your personal information.

What we collect

Account and profile information. When you create an account, apply for membership, or buy a ticket, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text). Members may add optional profile details — photo, interests, intentions, and similar fields you choose to share.

Membership applications. Applications include the answers and references you provide. These are reviewed by our community team and retained as part of your membership record.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe and our commerce platform (WooCommerce). We receive order details (what you bought, when, for how much) but we never see or store your full card number — that stays with the payment processor. Event producers who receive payouts provide payout details directly to Stripe under Stripe's own terms.

Events and attendance. When you RSVP, buy tickets, or check in, we record your attendance and ticket history so producers can manage their events and we can run the community.

Content you upload. Profile photos, event media, and partner studio media are stored and served through Cloudflare's image and video services.

Messages within the Services. Introductions, community messages, and support/hotline requests you send through the Services are stored so we can deliver them and keep the community safe.

Usage and device information. Like most services, we automatically receive basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) in server logs, and we collect product analytics events (for example, which features are used) to improve the Services. We use this in aggregate; we are not in the business of profiling individuals.

Sign-in with third parties. If we offer sign-in with an identity provider such as Google or Apple, we receive only your basic profile from that provider — verified email address, name, and profile photo. We do not receive your contacts, calendar, or anything beyond basic identity, and we never receive your password for that provider.

Referrals. Referral links and QR codes carry a code identifying who shared them and which offer applies. When you join through one, we record that attribution so the referrer gets credit and you get the right offer. Referrers can see that their referral converted; they never gain access to your account details.

What other members can see

wellvyl is a members club, and your profile is how members meet you. Signed-in members can see your screen name, profile photo, bio, interests, intentions, and any photos or videos you add to your gallery. Members may also see that you're attending an event when you RSVP, where the event shows its attendee list. Your email address, billing details, application, and private messages are never visible to other members. You control what goes in your profile and can edit or remove it at any time.

How we use information

• To provide the Services: accounts, memberships, tickets, events, community features.
• To process payments and payouts through our payment processors.
• To communicate with you about your account, purchases, and events you're attending (transactional email).
• To send marketing email only if you opt in — the newsletter checkbox is never pre-ticked, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. We use Mailchimp to send these.
• To keep the community safe: reviewing applications, moderating content, preventing fraud and abuse.
• To improve the Services using aggregate analytics.

What we share (and what we don't)

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.

We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under their own security and privacy obligations:

• Stripe — payment processing and producer payouts
• WooCommerce / WordPress — our commerce and account platform
• Mailchimp — email delivery (marketing lists only with your consent)
• Cloudflare — content delivery, security, image and video hosting
• Vercel — application hosting
• Identity providers (e.g., Google), only when you choose to sign in with them

Within the wellvyl family, information may be shared among Wellvyl PBC and its subsidiary public benefit companies to operate the Services under this single policy and common security controls — moving between wellvyl divisions never changes your rights or our promises here.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our members, staff, and the public.

Event producers: if you buy a ticket or RSVP to an event, the event's producer can see your name and attendance status for that event — that's what lets them run the door. Producers may use attendee information only for running that event, unless you separately opt in to their communications through the clearly-labeled checkbox at checkout — leaving it unchecked never affects your purchase.

Business transfers: if wellvyl is ever part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, member information may transfer as part of that transaction, under this policy's protections.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the Services to work — keeping you signed in, remembering your session across our subdomains, and securing checkout. We do not run third-party advertising cookies.

Your choices and rights

• Access and update: you can view and edit your profile in your account settings.
• Marketing: unsubscribe from any marketing email with one click, or ask us to remove you.
• Deletion: you can request deletion of your account and personal information by emailing us; we will honor it except where we must retain records (for example, payment records required for tax and accounting).
• Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional legal rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. We honor verified requests regardless of geography — email us and we'll take care of it.
• California residents: we do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of; we also don't use sensitive personal information beyond what's necessary to provide the Services. We never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
• EU/UK visitors: our legal bases are performing our contract with you (running your membership), legitimate interests (safety, improving the Services), consent (marketing), and legal obligations. The Services are operated and hosted in the United States.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed for the purposes above. Membership and order records are retained as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal information we're not required to keep.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Traffic to the Services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to member data is limited to staff who need it for their role. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we treat your data with the care we'd want for our own.

Children

wellvyl memberships and accounts are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it. Some experiences may welcome guests of other ages as stated on the event listing — attendance details for minors are handled by the event's producer under their own responsibility.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify members by email or in-app notice.
