EASY METHODS TO DESTRESS YOUR LIFE

EASY METHODS TO DESTRESS YOUR LIFE

In this crazy technology-driven world stress is something that seemingly creeps in quicker and quicker. If we don’t get the information we want we get stressed out. If we see the way too perfect selfie from our favorite influencer we get stressed. And then there are the more traditional stresses: work, money, and family.

So what do we do about it?

Answer: exercise, meditate, eat healthily, and seek out professional help.

I would like to add a few more to that list.

Call a friend

Yes, kind of like on Who Wants to be a Millionaire, except where there is no right or wrong answer. Sometimes having someone’s ear for 5-min can help you move on with your day and your emotions.

Stretch

Okay, this goes with the workout idea, but if I had a dollar for every time someone told me they don’t stretch their body before or after a workout I’d be a millionaire by now. Stretching is not only good around your workout times, but it can also elongate those muscles that you tend to hold tension and that can help you de-stress more quickly.

Be Present

Take a few moments to acknowledge the stress and figure out exactly where it is coming from. You would be surprised how much stress comes from the things our brains are trying to ‘protect us from’. Don’t push them to the back of your mind, instead stand in front of it and hit it head-on.

Get Moving

Yes, this is where JōbuFIT comes in and should become part of your every day. Our wellness program not only protects your physical well-being but also aides in your mental health as well. Adding this practice to your everyday schedule tells your brain that you are taking a step back putting a bit of pep into your routine and owning your body.

Break from the stress this April. Join JōbuFIT. Your Body, Your Brain, heck even Your Boss will thank you.
