there sits a split wooden<\/span>
\n<\/span>bridge that the goats use<\/span>
\n<\/span>to cross the water.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>when it was crystal<\/span>
\n<\/span>i used to bathe there<\/span>
\n<\/span>like a priestess<\/span>
\n<\/span>in classic white.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>with a stomach full of rain<\/span>
\n<\/span>i’d belly down- frog skin<\/span>
\n<\/span>and pig slip first- into that<\/span>
\n<\/span>spring swamp.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>that’s good water<\/span>
\n<\/span>clean water<\/span>
\n<\/span>heal my sores and spots water-<\/span>
\n<\/span>i’d use that water to draw out<\/span>
\n<\/span>yesterday’s soup.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>on the bridge the goats are shitting<\/span>
\n<\/span>yellow. pushing and dropping<\/span>
\n<\/span>the whole lot blinking<\/span>
\n<\/span>like they’ve got something big in their eye.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>in the water<\/span>
\n<\/span>the shit falls through like pennies<\/span>
\n<\/span>and trade my white for brown.<\/span>
