It is relatable, transparent, and honest among its viewers. For those of you who have been living under a rock and don’t know what Insecure is, let me explain it to you.

Insecure is a show that airs on HBO and it follows Issa Dee, played by Issa Rae,and three her best friends, Molly (Yvonne Orji), Tiffany (Amanda Seales), and Kelli (Natasha Rothwell) through their triumphs and failures, relationships and struggles, and all of the real-life bullshit the normal, everyday people go through on a daily basis. For those who watch the show religiously all have a character that reflects them in some way, shape, or form.

The Breakdown of Characters

Issa:

Viewers are introduced to Issa as the friend who is trying to get her life together. In the beginning, the audience quickly learns that Issa is in a relationship that she isn’t happy in anymore and that she is working a job that doesn’t satisfy her career goals. To make matters worse, Issa gets herself caught up in the arms of another while still in a relationship with her boyfriend.

Molly:

Molly, Issa’s best friend, is very successful. She is a lawyer at a very good law firm but is struggling to be noticed by her bosses. She is pro-woman and stands for women empowerment, but this isn’t her only issue. Like a lot of women, she has issues with finding “perfect man”. She is quick to dismiss them if they don’t live up to her standards.

Tiffany:

Tiffany is the bougie one of the group. She’s married and now has a baby on the way. She always tries to project her “perfect” life onto her friends but she is not afraid to put them in their place if they get out of line either.

Kelli:

Kelli is the last friend of this fantastic foursome. She is funny, real, and sometimes forgetful. She rarely has those serious life moments but when she does she will let everyone how she feels about it. Kelli is also the turn-up friend, the life of the party, and she is always a good time. She’s the most neutral one out of the group.

We all have friends like Issa, Molly, Tiffany, and Kelli. We balance each other out just like they balance each other out. Many people, including myself, can relate to the real life issues that go on in life. Who do you think you are out of the four females within your group of friends? Are you Issa, Molly, Tiffany, or Kelli?

For me, out of my group of friends, I believe that I am a mixture of both Issa and Tiffany. I’m known to be “bougie” like Tiffany and in a happy relationship. Also, I am like Issa because I believe in following my passion instead of being someplace where I am not happy. I made a few changes in my life just like Issa did in her life. In all Issa and her friends have taught us that it’s okay to be vulnerable with each other, to cry, laugh, turn up, whine down, stand up for yourself as well as them and so much more. Insecure also teaches us that its good to have ride or die friends in your corner no matter the circumstances.
http://credit-n.ru/zaymyi-next.html
http://credit-n.ru/zaymyi-next.html
http://credit-n.ru/zaymyi-next.html
http://credit-n.ru/zaymyi-next.html

Insecure is the best thing that could’ve happened to the culture.
