Of course, the high score came from last October&#8217;s mass shooting in Las Vegas, where a lone gunman killed 58 people while wounding 489.\u00a0 Also unsurprising is the that the most &#8220;active shootings&#8221; occurred in the NRA capital of Texas. Guess which state is its runner-up. Yup, Florida!<\/p>\n<p>What exactly is an &#8220;active shooting,&#8221; you may ask? According to this <a href=\"http:\/\/time.com\/5266944\/2017-mass-shooting-incidents\/?utm_source=twitter.com&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;xid=time_socialflow_twitter&amp;utm_campaign=time\">Time article<\/a>, \u201cone or more individuals actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a populated area\u201d (excludes gang and drug-related violence). It&#8217;s apparent that the good ole U.S.A. continues to allow the National Rifle Association (NRA) freedom to value their profits above human lives.
